What a full mock covers
A mock test shows how you perform when all four skills come together under time pressure. Listening and Reading answers are checked against an answer key; Writing and Speaking responses receive AI feedback on the official IELTS criteria. Scores are independent practice estimates, not official IELTS results.
Each mock follows the IELTS Academic structure: four Listening parts heard once with a short review at the end, three Reading passages under one 60-minute timer, a Writing Task 1 report and Task 2 essay under one 60-minute timer, and a three-part Speaking test. EnglishHub has 50 full mock tests for this exam, plus 200 practice sets for work on individual parts, and your first mock is free.

Tips that work
- Take your first mock early to find your weakest skill, then target it with part-by-part practice.
- Sit the whole mock in one session, in a quiet place, to build stamina for test day.
- Review every wrong Listening and Reading answer, and read the feedback on your writing and speaking before taking the next mock.
- Space your mocks out; practising between them matters more than taking many in a row.
Questions candidates ask
Is the first IELTS Academic mock test free?
Yes. Mock test 1 is free, so you can try the full four-skill format before deciding whether to continue with the other 49 mock tests.
How accurate is a mock test band?
It is an independent estimate based on your answers and AI feedback, useful for tracking progress. Only an official IELTS test gives an IELTS result, and scores can vary from test to test.
Should I use mocks or practice sets?
For work on a single skill or part, use the 200 practice sets. A full mock is best taken in order in one sitting, as the official test is, so you experience the complete timing and the fatigue that comes with it.
How is the overall band worked out?
Each of the four skills gets a band from 0 to 9, and the overall band is based on the average of the four, reported in half bands. Check the official IELTS site for the exact rounding rules.
