Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”, “user”) and EnglishHub.io (“we”, “us”), governing your access to and use of the EnglishHub.io website, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (school, employer, customer), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to both you personally and that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and you confirm this when you sign up. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you also confirm that your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We may refuse or close an account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 16.

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. Our services

The Service provides independent study materials and software tools designed to help users prepare for third-party English proficiency exams, including but not limited to CELPIP, IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, PTE Academic, PTE Core, OET, and TOEFL iBT.

The Service includes, depending on your plan, practice tasks modeled on published exam formats, mock exams, AI-generated feedback, lessons, progress tracking, and related features. We may change the Service for valid reasons — for example to keep it secure, to follow changes in an exam's official format or in the law, to fix errors, or to replace a supplier — at no extra cost to you. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance by email or in the app, and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your current paid period.

AI Generator. The Monthly and 90-Day plans include the AI Generator for the exam the plan covers; the 7-Day Pass and free accounts do not. The AI Generator does not create new questions. It becomes available for an exam once you have completed every mock exam and every practice set in that exam's library: a mock exam counts when you finish a full sitting of it, and a practice set counts when you submit any practice task from it. Only results saved on or after October 5, 2026 count, because earlier results did not record which mock exam or practice set they were. Once it is available, each time you use it, it picks a mock exam or practice set from that exam's existing library (the same library every Pro plan can open) and opens it for you, a different one each time, up to 10 mock exams and 50 practice sets per exam per calendar month. Unused picks do not carry over to the next month.

4. No affiliation with exam providers

THIS IS IMPORTANT. EnglishHub.io is an independent third-party preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to:

• Paragon Testing Enterprises (owner and administrator of the CELPIP test)
• the British Council, IDP Education, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment (the joint owners of IELTS)
• Pearson plc and its affiliates (owners and administrators of PTE Academic and PTE Core)
• Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust (owner and administrator of the OET)
• Educational Testing Service (ETS) (owner and administrator of the TOEFL family of tests)

Exam names and any related logos, marks, or exam-specific terminology are trademarks of their respective owners. EnglishHub.io uses these names solely to describe the exams our study materials are designed to help users prepare for. Such use is nominative and does not imply any endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship.

We do not reproduce real exam questions, nor do we have access to live or retired official exam content. Practice content on the Service is created by EnglishHub.io with the help of AI tools and checked by automated quality controls; it is not licensed from any exam owner.

We do not register users for the real exam, administer the real exam, or influence real exam scoring in any way. To take a real exam, you must register directly with the relevant official provider.

5. Accounts

To access most features you need to create an account. You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You may not share your account, transfer it, or allow others to use it. One person, one account. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of this rule.

6. Subscriptions, billing, auto-renewal

Some features require a paid plan (“Pro”). Every paid plan is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel:

• 7-Day Pass — renews every 7 days. It includes every Pro feature except the AI Generator (Section 3).
• Monthly — renews every month.
• 90-Day Pass — renews every 90 days.

When you buy a plan:

• Before you pay, we show the price and renewal interval next to the plan. The secure Stripe checkout page then states, right above the Subscribe button: “By clicking Subscribe, you agree to be charged [price] [interval] until you cancel. Access starts immediately, so the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies.” When a welcome-offer discount applies to your first payment, the first sentence reads instead: “By clicking Subscribe, you agree to pay today's total, then [price] [interval] until you cancel.”, where today's total is the discounted amount Stripe shows as due today. By clicking Subscribe you agree to those renewal terms and ask for your access to start immediately. We keep a record of that agreement (your account, the checkout, the wording shown and the time).
• You authorize us (and our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method the price shown at checkout at the start and at each renewal. The price shown is the total you are charged; we do not add tax on top of it.
• You can cancel at any time in Settings → Subscription, without contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. A refund for the current period is available only as described in the Refund Policy and under your statutory rights.
• Prices may change. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• Prices are charged in the currency shown at checkout (currently US dollars). Your bank may charge its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees.

7. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy limits any non-waivable statutory right you have under the consumer law of the place where you live.

EU, EEA and UK consumers: you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because your access starts as soon as you pay, the line above the Subscribe button on the Stripe checkout page also states that access starts immediately, so the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies. By clicking Subscribe you expressly ask for immediate access and acknowledge that you then lose that right; we record this and confirm it in your purchase confirmation email. How to withdraw, and when a refund is due, is set out in the statutory-rights section of the Refund Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• share your account, resell access, or use the Service to operate a competing preparation business without a written license from us
• scrape, crawl, download in bulk, mirror, or systematically copy content from the Service
• use the Service, its output, or its data to train a machine learning model or build a dataset for third parties
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or algorithms of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law
• upload malicious code, interfere with the Service's availability or security, or attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls
• impersonate another person or create an account using false information
• use the Service to engage in unlawful, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, or misleading conduct
• post content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
• use the Service to cheat on any real exam, or to distribute or solicit real exam questions

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion and without advance notice in serious cases.

9. User content

The Service lets you submit content — written responses, audio recordings, feedback, and similar (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant EnglishHub.io a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure and support the features you request. EnglishHub.io will not use identifiable User Content to train general-purpose models unless you separately opt in.

We may anonymize and aggregate User Content for analytics and product improvement. We do not sell User Content to third parties. We do not use identifiable User Content for advertising.

You represent that your User Content is yours to share and that sharing it with us does not violate anyone else's rights.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the Service that is not User Content — including practice questions, lessons, explanatory materials, software, designs, logos, text, audio, images, and documentation — is provided by EnglishHub.io. Much of the practice content is produced with AI assistance; to the extent intellectual-property law protects it, the rights belong to EnglishHub.io (and, for software libraries and fonts, to their respective licensors under their own licences). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial preparation. This license does not include any right to copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works, except to the extent expressly allowed by us in writing or by applicable law.

The EnglishHub.io name and logo are trademarks of EnglishHub.io. Exam names and associated marks remain the property of their respective owners. EnglishHub.io uses exam names only to identify the third-party tests for which users may choose to prepare. This does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or licence.

11. No guarantee of exam results

EnglishHub.io is a study tool. We do not guarantee, warrant, or promise that using the Service will result in any particular score, band, level, pass status, admission, visa, certification, license, registration, or other outcome. Results depend on many factors we cannot control, including your individual aptitude, study habits, health, test-day conditions, and the official provider's scoring. Any results displayed on the Service (practice scores, rubric estimates, band predictions) are for study guidance only and are not official and are not a prediction of your real result.

12. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (payment processing, hosting, analytics, email delivery, speech processing, etc.). Your use of those providers may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

External links on the Service lead to sites we don't control and don't endorse. Follow them at your own risk.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Without limiting this, we specifically disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and security.

We don't warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or its servers are free of viruses or harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties; in those places, the exclusions above apply to the extent legally permitted, and you may have additional statutory rights.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• EnglishHub.io, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will NOT be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, use, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
• These limits apply to all claims in the aggregate, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, warranty, statute, or otherwise).

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including, where applicable: (i) liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iii) non-waivable consumer rights under the laws of the EU, UK, California, Australia, Canada, or other jurisdictions.

15. Indemnification

You agree to compensate EnglishHub.io for third-party claims, and the reasonable costs of defending them, to the extent they result from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) User Content you submit that infringes someone else's rights. This section does not apply to you as a consumer where the law of the place where you live does not allow it, and it never makes you responsible for our own fault.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and close your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or created risk or legal exposure for EnglishHub.io or other users. We may also discontinue the Service (or any part of it) with reasonable notice.

On termination: your license to use the Service ends; we may delete your account and data, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law; and the provisions that are meant to survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law) will survive.

17. Governing law, disputes, region-specific rights

General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the consumer rules below, disputes not subject to arbitration go to the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.

Consumers

• If you use the Service as a consumer, choosing Ontario law does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country, province or state where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where those laws allow it.
• If you are a consumer in Quebec, Quebec law applies to the extent the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) requires, and the forum and arbitration provisions of this section do not apply to you.
• If you are a consumer in Ontario, the arbitration provision does not apply to you, and nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario).

Informal resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact [email protected] and give us 30 days to resolve your complaint.

Arbitration (U.S. users only)

If you reside in the United States (and only then), you and EnglishHub.io agree to resolve any dispute by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration is Wilmington, Delaware, USA, and the language is English. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement will be void with respect to that dispute.

EU/EEA, UK, Australia, California, and other non-waivable consumer protections

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Australia, California, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you non-waivable consumer rights, those rights apply in addition to these Terms. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your non-waivable rights, those rights prevail.

30-day opt-out (U.S. users)

You may opt out of the arbitration clause by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Include your account email and the words “Arbitration opt-out”. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

18. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms and update the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we will also give notice by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't accept them, you should stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.

19. General provisions

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and EnglishHub.io regarding the Service, and supersede any prior agreements or representations on this subject.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver is only effective if made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of EnglishHub.io.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (see also Section 16, Termination, on notice to users).

Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, labour disputes, internet or utility failures, or failures of third-party service providers.

Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on your account, or by posting in-app or on the Service. You may give us notice at the contact addresses in Section 20.
