What a full mock covers
The CELPIP-General test is taken in one sitting of under 3 hours, in a fixed order. Listening comes first: six parts and 38 questions, each recording played once. Reading follows with four timed parts and 38 questions. Writing has two tasks, an email (27 minutes) and a survey response (26 minutes). Speaking ends the test with eight recorded tasks.
There is no overall score. Each skill gets its own CELPIP level from 1 to 12, aligned with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels. A full mock shows you how you perform on all four skills under timed conditions, including how your focus holds up in the later sections.
EnglishHub has 50 full CELPIP mock tests, and the first mock is free. Writing and speaking responses get AI feedback, and when you want to work on a single part, there are 200 practice sets for CELPIP.

Tips that work
- Take your first mock early, before heavy study, to find your weakest skill.
- Sit each mock in one go, with no pausing, so the timing feels like test day.
- After each mock, review wrong answers by part and practise that part separately before the next mock.
- Use headphones and a microphone, as you will on test day, for Listening and Speaking.
Questions candidates ask
How long does a full CELPIP mock test take?
Under 3 hours, like the real CELPIP-General test. Listening takes about 46 to 55 minutes, Reading about 43 to 56, Writing 53, and Speaking about 15.
Is the first CELPIP mock test free?
Yes. The first of EnglishHub's 50 full CELPIP mock tests is free, so you can try the complete four-section format, fully timed, before deciding on further practice.
How are mock test results reported?
Each skill is reported separately on the 1 to 12 level scale, just as CELPIP reports the official test. Writing and speaking come with AI feedback on the same criteria raters use.
How many mock tests should I take before the exam?
There is no fixed number. Many candidates take one at the start to find weak areas, practise those parts, then take further mocks to check progress. Leave time between mocks to act on what each one shows.
