Quick Stats
What is CELPIP?
The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is a fully computer-delivered English language test designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It tests all four language skills — Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking — in a single 3-hour sitting. Results are reported on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) scale from 1 to 12.
CELPIP-General
Tests all four skills. Accepted for permanent residency, citizenship, and most provincial programs.
CELPIP-General LS
Tests only Listening and Speaking. Accepted for Canadian citizenship applications only.
